Dr. Michael Porter and Inner City Capital Connections visit Regions Park

Harvard Business School Professor and world-renowned business strategist Dr. Michael Porter visited Regions Park on August 6th to help urban business owners grow their enterprise.

As part of the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, ICCC helps small businesses in economically distressed areas access capital, achieve sustainable growth, and provides a forum where companies can connect with capital providers.  Executive Education, led by top-tier professors from leading entrepreneurship institutions, covers a range of practical skills—from strategy and entrepreneurial finance to marketing and investor pitch presentations

Founded in 1994 by Harvard Business School Professor Michael Porter, The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (icic.org) is a nonprofit research and strategy organization and the leading authority on U.S. inner city economies and the businesses that thrive there.

The Birmingham Venture Club’s executive administration firm, Relax It’s Handled, was selected as one of ninety-five companies from the Southeastern region to participate in this world-class training opportunity.
